Protecting scientists through education | GSA Connects 2023

A critical element of our work at CSLDF is educating scientists about their legal rights to participate in advocacy and activism. To further that mission, we are excited to inform you that we’ll be presenting Best Practices for Scientific Advocacy at the upcoming Geological Society of America Connects 2023 conference!

It is important that scientists who engage in activism do so safely and effectively. In Best Practices for Scientific Advocacy we’ll discuss how scientists can participate in advocacy efforts, as well as ways to mitigate the risk of negative repercussions. (For those who are unable to join us at GSA Connects, we offer a library of free resources on this topic and many others.)

Another way we protect science and scientists is through direct legal assistance. At GSA Connects we will also be available for free, confidential legal consultations with scientists from all disciplines who have legal questions or concerns related to their work. Please use this link or email lawyer@csldf.org to make an appointment.
